This project is a stone window surround for a residential house in the Texas Hill Country.
The brief was to create a compound curving stone window surround. The stones for the surround were in one piece; going from the interior to the exterior. The added complication was that the exterior walls of the house were raked; the thickness of the walls varied from 36" at the bottom to 12" at the top of the wall. Working closely with the stone fabricators; I created a 3D model and shop tickets to create the final product.
