Leah holds a Masters of Architecture and a Bachelor of Humanities (both with honors) from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to graduate school she worked in public policy in Washington DC for several years. While originally from Austin, Texas Leah has lived throughout the United States as well as in France, Denmark, Mexico and Argentina.
In addition to architectural design projects, Leah has won a number of design competitions and public art projects which have resulted in commissions. All of these commissions involve working in collaboration with diverse array of artists, textile designers, designers and other architects.
Currently, Leah works at Andersson Wise Architects.
Leah was the project coordinator for the Audi Car Company facilities program; managing the scheduling, deadlines and drawings for 80+ schematic corporate facilities projects. Leah assisted in adapting the Audi Corporate design template incorporating architecture, materials, lighting, signage and site planning for American market needs. Leah also was project manager for an 8,000 sq ft Soho loft conversion to work space for a fashion company owned by Valentino under an extremely tight budget and short 6 week construction schedule.
As a commissioned artist for the Lance Armstrong Bikeway in the City of Austin, TX, Leah has experience managing a public art project over a long term development cycle; selecting outside vendors and coordinating with city and state agencies. This project has involved the fabrication and installation of street furniture, signage, custom road paint application and two large sculptural pieces along a 6 mile bikeway. this project was completed in May of 2010.
